The Fast & The Furriest: A Corgi Race at Gillette
Sixteen corgis. One field. Greatest halftime activation ever.
At halftime, Gillette Stadium turned into the most paw-some race in New England as 16 corgis took over the turf for The Fast & The Furriest. Pure chaos. Pure joy.
I grew up in a three-bedroom apartment in Queens, NY, and having a pet was never in the cards. My mom can’t stand animals, and honestly, it wouldn’t have been fair to keep one cooped up in a small space. So instead, I’ve always enjoyed other people’s pets—and this was no exception.
Each corgi had a personality of its own. Some were laser-focused competitors. Others were more interested in vibes than finish lines. We had elite names like Cannoli and Ravoli, and Ella, who raced in a doggy wheelchair and immediately stole the entire stadium’s heart.
For Conor and me, this was more than a fun halftime bit. It was an opportunity to do what we do best—at the highest level. Moments like this show the trust the Patriots organization places in us to carry something special and make it land with 60,000 fans watching.
It’s never a me thing. It’s a we thing. We’re solid on our own, but together we’re an unstoppable in-game entertainment duo.
And a major shoutout to Angus, who’ll be representing the Patriots during Super Bowl Week in an upcoming Corgi Race. Absolute legend.
Fast dogs. Big trust. Even bigger vibes.
